NEW ORLEANS SAINTS COACH ROB RYAN INCLUDES SAMMY KERSHAW ALBUM ART ON PLAY SHEET
Kershaw Album Art Included Next to Photo of Ryan's Father,
Former NFL Coach Buddy Ryan
Nashville, Tenn. (January 9, 2014) - Fans watching this past weekend's Saints vs. Eagles game may have caught a glimpse of Country music's Sammy Kershaw on the sidelinesā¦ but not as one might expect. As it turns out, New Orleans Saints Defensive Coordinator Rob Ryan is a major Kershaw fan. In fact, he likes Kershaw's music so much that he included the country star's Better Than I Used To Be album art on the back of his play sheet. The artwork was included along with a photo of his father, former NFL coach Buddy Ryan, as well as one of his favorite restaurants, Pat's King of Steaks.
"Rob sent me a text message and told me he was going to put the album art on his play sheet. I was so excited when I saw it on TV!" says Kershaw. "I'm honored and humbled that my album cover was included next to the picture of his dad and other things that are obviously very important to him. The Saints are my team so I am over-the-top excited to know that Rob Ryan is a fan of my music. He told me his favorite song is 'Vidalia!'"
Though Kershaw will be in New York City taping an edition of the Fox News Channel's Huckabee this weekend, he still plans on watching his team on Saturday as the Saints take on the Seattle Seahawks in the NFL second round playoffs.
Kershaw adds, "I really believe that my guys will make it to the Super Bowl this year. Maybe Rob will keep using my album art for good luckā¦ along with Popeye's Fried Chicken!"
