Tomislav Goluban :: BLOW JUNKIE
With his sixth studio album, Blow Junkie, Tomislav Goluban is back to his roots. The CD features good old blues-rock, stripped to four instruments (harmonica, guitar, bass and drums) just to make the point that even this raw and simple sound could be easily enjoyed. Harp plays the leading role and the old blues mantra "less is more" is well established here. For the first time, this Croatian artist appears here as an author of songs in English. A link, but also a constant value in his career, is his harp, which becomes more and more powerful, clear, grown and definitely original.

Morose Elephant is Jeff Jensen’s fourth studio offering. Following his critically acclaimed 2013 release Road Worn and Ragged, USA Today Top 10 Pick, Morose Elephant features seven powerful originals, and four truly inspired standards. Primarily recorded at Ardent Studios in Memphis, Tennessee, this album showcases Jensen’s diverse songwriting, poetic lyricism and unique, over the top guitar stylings. From the Memphis soul vibe of “Make it Through” to the gritty, “Get Along,” to the fully exposed lyrics of “Fall Apart” and “Ash and Bone,” this record really lets you in to the vulnerable, organic and honest soul of Jeff Jensen. Local high schoolers to play House of Blues New Orleans
NEW ORLEANS, LA - There are certain places considered "sacred ground" to four teenagers in a rock band. House of Blues New Orleans is one those to Pineville [Louisiana] High School sophomores Xzavier Price, Austin Box, William Lee and Tayveion Graham.
So when their band When All is Lost headlines the Music Forward Foundation's Bringing Down the House Showcase, the boys will not be taking the experience for granted.
"People that love the local music scene in Louisiana, they'll go to this, and it's nice to have a chance to show our art to hundreds of people in that venue," said Lee who plays bass for the group. "It's definitely sacred ground for us."
The group was one of 4,300 musicians, ages 13-19, who entered for a chance to play the April 14 show, which spotlights high school students.

Little Milton Statue Dedication April 9
MEMPHIS, TN - On Thursday April 9 at 4pm (CDT), The Blues Foundation will dedicate the Little Milton bronze statue that will permanently reside in front of the Blues Hall of Fame. The statue is inspired by the cover of Little Milton’s last studio album entitled Think of Me. That cover photo features Little Milton sitting on a bench holding his Gibson guitar in Tom Lee Park along the Mississippi River. The bench is known as the gar bench as it legs are in the shape of the gar fish found in the Mississippi and is the creation of the National Metal Museum here in Memphis.
