The Norman Jackson Band ::
CHILD SUPPORT AND ALIMONY
Receiving 3rd at the 2016 International Blues Challenge Finals, The Norman Jackson Band's first album, Child Support and Alimony promises to make you, "Get Your Happy On!" Norman's storytelling, authentic soul-infused voice is perfectly paired with his prodigal son's (Rick Shortt) blazing saxophone and playfulness. Each cut from this record radiates in sincerity, energy and genuine blues.
"Norman's Blues" leads the record as Norman's testament that everyone has their own voice in the blues. Rick lends a hand on three tracks vocally and the rock steady rhythm section held down by "The Boogie Man" Ron Brown and "Slowmotion" Danny Williams establishes the groove that will make you shout, "Ain't No Groove Like a Norman Jackson Groove!"
