What is “Finding Uber Bliss”?
|
Uber Bliss is awakening to the creativity and freedom in each present moment. The journey of Finding Uber Bliss means venturing through six dimensions related to a mindful experience of creativity with easy creative exercises designed to result in something more than an end product (but there will be lots of those as well); it is using creative expression to have a deeper more awakened experience of life and connect to a community of like-minded friends. More than ever we need to express ourselves and be surrounded by those who empower us.
Forever is composed of nows. – Emily Dickinson
Why are we doing this?
Being creative is like having a love affair with the present moment. Uber Bliss missions are designed with heightening the present moment in mind.
The journey is shared in classes, workshops, or webinars where participants, or “Uber Troopers”, are guided by an Uber Guide through six stages filled with stories of wisdom, creative adventures - creative writing, smart camera art, drawing, painting, brushes with the absurd, enlightened contemplation, and deep, profound playfulness. Kaizen-Muse Creativity Coaching tools are plugged into the journey for a gentle, playful, non-pressurized experience both for the Guide and the Uber Troopers.
Simply enjoy the journey for yourself or choose to be trained as an Uber Guide.
The Journey of Uber Bliss Levels Includes:
- The Art of Paying Attention
- Building an Inner Sanctuary
- Cultivating Creative Inner Talk
- How to Tilt Your Mind and See Differently
- Creative License and the Freedom to Express a Thousand Ways
- Celebrating Finding Uber Bliss!
Uber Troopers earn "badges" after completing creative missions for each level, making the prospect of small rewards a fun motivator and a nostalgic return to childhood adventures.

| Some Philosophies in Finding Uber Bliss
|
“Anyone at all who is known for having found a path to consistent, recurring joy — cites staying present as the essential teaching.” ~David Cain, Author of You Are Here
Everyone is creative. As we engage in a creative process not only do we create a painting, a photograph, or a piece of prose, but in the process we create another self; I believe it’s a better one.
The same qualities cultivated in creative expression turn us into happier and more evolved people. Resilience, resourcefulness, patience, cleverness, courage, confidence, , independence, individuality -- all come from practicing the creative process but they also make our lives easier and richer.
When immersed in the flow, we experience a freedom like no other. The more we create, the more this freedom influences other areas of our existence with courage, clarity, and cunning. ~Jill Badonsky

| Why the name "Uber Bliss"?
|
“Über” is a German word meaning "over", "above" or "across".
"Uber" crossed over from German into English in 1883 when German philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche coined the term "Ubermensch" to describe the higher state to which he felt men might aspire. Mensch means "man" in German. That's kinda cool.
But the name of this program, "Uber Bliss", was a spinoff of an explanation Dr. Seuss gave when people asked the question, “Where do you get your ideas?” He invented a fictitious account involving a hamlet in Switzerland called Über Gletch where he claimed he went every August to get his cuckoo clock fixed and while waiting, strange people would give him his ideas. It turned out to be an explanation that was as absurd as the question, “Where do you get your ideas?”
“Where do you get your ideas?” is a confounding question to most artists and writers because the genesis of ideas is elusive; there often is no explanation that the conscious mind can grasp. Because he was so imaginative, Theodore Geisel (Dr. Seuss), was frequently asked this question and rather than get annoyed, he invented a description, which showed us his tongue-in-cheek resourcefulness, his ability to rise above predictability, and his comfort with being imaginatively absurd. (All handy elements in the creative process as well as in life.)
The Greeks, who were known for inventing myths to explain the unexplainable, invented Muses to justify where ideas come from. So you see, Muses and Uber Gletch have a common theme not to mention, the reference to “uber” as aspiring to a higher state.
When the transportation network, Uber, created a new association to the word, I was concerned people would be think Uber Bliss was related to a taxi service and considered changing the name. Instead, I kept it since both the Uber transportation network and Finding Uber Bliss, "transport" people to places that will make them happy.
Consider that you are about to get a lift to a new way of existing in your world.
Blissful Wishes,
Jill Badonsky
