Happy New Year to all our members, and we wish you a great year ahead in drama! January is always a busy month, whether our groups are preparing to go on the full length circuit or for their spring productions. All details for the 2017 circuit can be found on www.adci.ie - the first festivals get underway in Kilmuckridge, Newtownstewart & Rush on 23rd/24th February.
We would love to see you in Kilkenny on 25 February for the DLI Convention. It's one of the annual opportunities to meet up with other group members, and to catch up with what will be happening on the amateur drama scene this year. The opinions of our individual and member groups are important to DLI, so make your voice heard in the Newpark Hotel!
Thanks to all of you who have responded so promptly to our emailed reminder for membership renewal. Your support is essential to sustain DLI activity in 2017 - our office in Dundrum, workshops, library, and OF COURSE the 52nd DLI Summer School - 29 July - 4 August (exciting details on the 2017 courses coming your way SOON). Membership forms can be downloaded from our website www.dli.ie. New members always welcome!!
Our script-lending service in the DLI Library is ever-popular - if you still have plays on loan from 2016, please return them as soon as possible to DLI, Mill Theatre, Dundrum Town Centre, Dublin 16 - thanks!
Keep sending your library requests in to us! 01 2969343 dli@eircom.net.

Weighing In by Ger Gallagher
|
It's January - all those festive excesses consigned to history. What better time to read Weighing In, when you're resolute that 2017 is going to be the year for healthy living? Set in a rural town hall, Pam & Breda arrive for the weekly weigh-in, with all the trauma that can involve.
DLI is delighted to license this play on behalf of Ger Gallagher -it's available from the DLI Library in both long & short versions.
