Though the weather may not have been ideal, we were glad to see book lovers from around the country brave the rain, take in talks by more than 100 top authors and enjoy all the activities and performances that took place around the festival grounds.
As we begin planning for our 10th anniversary, we want to hear from you. Our planning committee considers all the feedback we receive as we look to make the festival bigger and better every year.
If you attended, please take our survey and share your thoughts.
Need more of an incentive? Complete our survey by Sunday, June 17, and you will be entered into a random drawing, with the chance to win a $100 Visa gift card.

Were you faced with so many great choices on May 19 that you missed a favorite author's presentation? Or did you buy a book, and now wish you had seen that author's talk? If so, don't despair. The winning stories were selected by Nisha Sharma, author of “My So-Called Bollywood Life” and a featured teen/young adult author at the Gaithersburg Book Festival.
"Judging the Gaithersburg Book Festival Writing Contest has been an amazing experience,” Sharma said. “It was an honor and a privilege to read work from such incredibly talented aspiring writers. I hope each and every one of them pursues their passion and one day is asked to participate at the GBF as a signing author."
