The Dry Diggings Festival is a music, camping and beer festival that will take place at the El Dorado Fairgrounds at the base of the beautiful Sierra Nevada mountain range just 45 miles east of Sacramento and 65 miles west of South Lake Tahoe. The idea behind the event was to create a festival where we could offer people a refuge where they could enjoy camping, music and some of the finest beers in the region.
Our first 4 years presented a top notch lineup, featuring Rebelution, The Dirty Heads, Tribal Seeds, Nahko and Medicine for The People, Matisyahu, Long Beach Dub Allstars, Dilated Peoples, J Boog, Stick Figure and so many more. In our 4th year we plan on bringing a bigger lineup and more activities. We will have 1 stage showcasing some of the best bands in the scene and a slightly different layout to the venue.

International Reggae artist Ras Slick is set to sizzle this summer as he officially gets into his "Zone" with a stellar new video and tour of the same name! The new visual, which is slated for a wide release on June 18 across multiple platforms, including Ras Slick's You Tube channel, has already garnered a buzz since the single (Just Be Riddim, Good Look Records) and video snippets stormed social media this spring.

He expects a strong turnout given the growing Caribbean communities in metropolitan Georgia. Thecity of Roswell, Georgia played a pivotal role in the South’s cotton industry during the 19th century, especially in the years leading to the Civil War in 1861.

Reggae great Big Youth makes a rare return to the mic for a rendition of Bo Diddley’s “Gunslinger” on the latest cut off the upcoming Red, Gold, Green & Blue compilation, the first release from Zak Starkey’s Trojan Jamaica label.
On “Gunslinger,” Big Youth, the deejay and toastmaster responsible for Seventies classics like Dreadlocks Dread and Natty Cultural Dread, teams with the renowned Sly & Robbie, Studio One guitar great Ernest Ranglin and producer Youth for their version of Rob Jevons’ Morricone-esque remix of the Diddley song.
