Harpdog Brown :: FOR LOVE & MONEY
British Columbia’s husky-voiced, award-winning bluesman Harpdog Brown's album, For Love & Money, was produced by JUNO Award winner Steve Dawson. The triple Maple Blues Award winner takes Chicago blues down to New Orleans for a unique and vibrant sound, tinted with shades of Louis Jordan, Sonny Boy Williamson, Louis Armstrong, and the greats of Chess and Sun Records.

Building Bridges to Help Eradicate Discrimination
(MEMPHIS, TN) - Earlier in July the Blues Hall of Fame museum hosted students from Operation Understanding D.C. The program's mission is to build a generation of African American and Jewish community leaders who promote respect and understanding while working to eradicate all types of discrimination. Entertainment attorney and folk-blues aficionado Bruce Newman and Blues Hall of Fame Museum docent Reed Malkin spoke to the students about our current exhibit in the LRBC Gallery The Blues According to Arhoolie. The exhibit explores Arhoolie Records founder Chris Strachwitz' history of recording blues and roots musicians throughout the U.S. during the second half of the 20th century.
