August 30th - September 2nd . Santa Monica
A very rare and special event for those magnetized to the exquisite intimacy and depth of the Sri Vidya Tantra tradition, rituals and pujas.
August 2007, I traveled to India to meet a revolutionary Guru, Amritananda Natha at his ashram, Devipuram in Andra Pradesh. There, I came into contact with one of the rarest and most beautiful forms of Tantra, the Sri Vidya.
Sri is a Sanskrit word that conveys auspiciousness. Vidya conveys wisdom. The Sri Vidya is a tradition that reveals our inherent success in discovering and becoming a part of the hidden mysteries of life. It is the center of the wheel and the birth of love - every instant. The science of the Sri Vidya is similar to the science of Physics; the reality we perceive is an interplay between what actually exists and our perception of what exists. This is the love affair between the physical world and our awareness of it, Shiva and Shakti, awareness devotedly in love with reality. Through the Sri Vidya, we become more intimately aware of this love affair and begin to cultivate our openness to it. We begin to live the life we are meant for. When I first visited Devipuram and met Guruji Amritantanda in 2007 I was introduced to Sri Vidya in the same way devotees have been immersed in the teachings for thousands of years - I received the Sri Vidya mantras, learned the intricacies of the Sri Yantra, and sat at my Guru’s feet as he told stories, sang stotrams and glowed with all the luminosity of a truly happy man. In this rare weekend immersion, you’ll meet and fall in love with one of my extraordinary Sri Vidya teachers, Sheela Ma, a teacher from Devipuram, a masterful practitioner of the Sri Vidya tradition, a devotee of Guruji Amritananda. I’ve sat many pre-dawn mornings in the Kamakyha Temple at Devipuram with Sheela Ma as she offers the Sri Yantra Puja. She has ignited my love for life in ways I can’t wait for you to discover. Sheela Ma is traveling here from Devipuram to share her great knowledge and utterly transformative devotion to Sri Vidya. All proceeds from the immersion will go to support the revolutionary work at Devipuram, bringing Sri Vidya to the world.
I look forward to continuing the study of the Sri Vidya Tantra with you,
Dawn Cartwright

Sheela Ma was one of my beautiful wisdom teachers. She transmitted the Devi and the Devi’s teachings with such embodied devotion and clarity. The vibrations were truly transformational. Special Event Friday Evening August 30th . . .
Siri Jyoti Puja: Wealth of Light Celebration
A practice based in ancient Sri Vidya Tantra wisdom. An evening dedicated to the Sri Yantra, the most auspicious of all yantras. Together, we’ll first draw, then adorn the Sri Yantra with flowers and candlelight. The celestial lights of fire, sun and moon and the wild aspects of the five elements will illuminate your body through the senses, the essence of Saraswati flows into your body as sweet speech, Lakshmi into your heart as love and Devi flows into your sex as pleasure.
I’ve experienced the Siri Jyoti Puja many times and it always surprises me how simple, yet profound, this ritual is. The meditative experience of placing flowers to create the Sri Yantra unlocks the secrets of the entire Sri Vidya tradition in your body in a way that is uplifting, inspiring and incredibly heart-opening.
Once we’ve completed the Yantra, we’ll gather around to meditate on the center. It is said that all the powers of the fire, sun, moon, the five elements, Saraswati, Lakshmi and Devi are multiplied ten times in this celebration. A night infused with magic.
