I have to admit even though I saw
it coming, December sneaked up
on me again this year. Being away
the last two weeks of November surely contributed but wow, now all of a sudden I have all sorts of things to get ready
and put in order. I suspect I am not alone. Over the years I have moved more and more to an online shopper
so this year's somewhat switched
up Black Friday didn't set me back.
Still with a number of out of town kiddos
I need to get stuff shipped to, my Christmas Countdown is in hyper-drive! Hopefully everyone is finding some peace for the holiday season.
Music is my go to....along with a fire in the fireplace!
This week we have a new article about a local artist, Jimmy Wayne Garrett who has some new music for you to check out. He also shares some wise thoughts we all might wish to ponder as we consider our focus this holiday season. You will also find some returning articles including the link to a classic video featuring Son House and Buddy Guy and information about an upcoming movie about Billie Holiday.
Remember! ...artists and fans in our area....please send us your information. We would love to have more information on how everyone is doing and what is
(or isn't yet) on your horizons.
Another reminder (again) to please
be thinking about potential nominees
for officer positions coming up at our next election. Positions open for election in 2021 are president and treasurer.
If you are a local blues artist, venue,
or fan and would like to share your information, please click the link
below to email Sandy. And always remember, this is YOUR newsletter! Please send feedback or suggestions our way. You can reach me by email at the address below. We appreciate our readers and want
to see your ideas included!
