Please join in the Virtual Memorial Service for Ruthy Alon
|
 Following a stroke in December, Ruthy Alon, Feldenkrais® Trainer and creator of Bones for Life, Walk for Life, and Movement Intelligence Programs passed away peacefully at her home in Jerusalem on December 30, 2020.
Dear friends, students, colleagues of Ruthy Alon,
The awaited memorial for Dr. Ruthy Alon, issued by the International Feldenkrais Guild and the Foundation for Movement Intelligence is inviting the participation of all who know and love her and count her a friend and mentor.
Please gather to honor Dr. Ruthy Alon, one of the original group of 13 certified teachers/trainers of certified in the Feldenkrais Method.
- The opening eulogy will be offered by Amira Dahan, a longtime colleague and Assistant Feldenkrais Trainer who organized trainings for Ruthy;
- ollowed by a song in Hebrew (Sages of God”)
- additional remembrances of Ruthy,
- by Yona Manbar, head of Movement Intelligence and an assistant Feldenkrais trainer;
- a tribute from Ruthy’s daughter, Iris Alon Milgrom;
- her classmates in the original Feldenkrais training and fellow FM trainers, Eli Wadler and Chava Shelhav, creator of Child Space.
- two movement lessons inspired by Ruthy -- Yona Manbar will first lead a lesson from Ruthy’s “Movement Solutions” and Ruti Bar, Feldenkrais trainer and longtime associate of Ruthy, will also teach.
The memorial service will be held on Monday, February 15 at 11:00 A.M.--1:30 P.M. EST (6:00-8:30 PM in Israel) over Zoom and the Zoom room will open at 10:30 AM for early access.
