 |  | Urgent request for Saturday April 3
|
Saturday April 3, there will be a big meeting with 110 cultural elders, government leaders, a lawyer, the chief of police and the district commissioner, 3 pastors will meet at the government building with 20 Maasai chiefs, coming from Ngorongoro, Kenya border and TZ areas, and Masailik area. They are looking for a way to find alternatives to the rite of passage from girl to womanhood and marriageable, without causing suffering and death to the girls. Please alert everyone to pray for this, as well as FOR THE SAFETY OF PASTOR MARKO and the pastors involved in the rescue of the girls. Marko has many enemies because many do NOT want to change the 2000 year old custom that seems to have served them well, in their opinion. One of the strengths of the Maasai people is their desire for the whole community to participate in making important decisions. We are asking the Heavenly Father to reach an agreement and sign a legal document with the government to end FGM. This is a stronghold of the enemy, we need prayer. Thank you so much for supporting the Maasai.

| The call was a great success
|
Last month we asked you to pray for the important "listening call" of the Lausanne Church Planting issue network. The listening call was 2 hours in length, attended by 55 participants from 8 regions and 30 Countries. After Michael Oh´s introductory remarks, 14 global or regional influencers gave prepared views regarding one of the 5 questions. All participants were given the opportunity to express their ideas via chat, a google doc. and/or via the 3 polls conducted.
