Blues News You Can Use!
Superstitious?

Though the craziness of this year makes
it feel like there have been many, today
is the only Friday the 13th in 2021.
I am not a superstitious person by nature, but as we sit in the midst of a huge surge brought on by the Delta variant of
Covid19 while also on the eve of back
to school week for most, this Friday
the 13th feels a bit oppressive. After
the great news that school districts and universities in Arkansas would be
allowed to have mask mandates to better assure lack of disruptions and greater safety, the bad news this week of the cancellation of the fall version of the
New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festivals and other events sadly brought back
the Friday the 13th vibe. It just makes even the un-superstitious folk like me want to rethink my perspectives. Anyone else having the same reaction?

Do be assured that, as always, the live music calendar is updated this week. Other than that, this week's news continues to reflect ongoing important informational news items being reported for your information.

Always remember, this is YOUR newsletter! Please send feedback or suggestions our way. You can reach me by email at the address below. We appreciate our readers and want
to see your ideas included!
