Here's to hoping everyone got through this last winter storm unscathed. We have a couple very cold nights ahead, but
the daytime temperatures, and of course the glorious sun today and going forward, will help take away pretty much anyone's blues! At my house, we were able to stay home with remote work and school, and today I pulled out "Old Faithful" my 1998 vintage 2-stage 24" snowblower. I did my driveway and a couple neighbors driveways. Ran like a champ!
The board of directors of Ozark Blues Society continues to work on details for the change of venue for our fundraiser. We hope to have the new ticket link available next week. The board is also considering moving our annual meeting elections to the night of the fundraiser
to allow for greater participation. We
have at times in the past brought the meeting together with an event and it has always been a fun night for all! Read
on below for more information and check our website for updates.
Take note that due to the winter weather, the blues event at Subiaco has been rescheduled. Check out the article below for information about the new date. There is also an article highlighting an upcoming jazz performance at Roots HQ and a returning article about the new CD/EP by Buddy Shute and Mark McGee.
We are hopefully at the lowest point for events on our calendar below. Between sorts and the weather, the pickings are mighty limited this week. There are some gems though, so don't pass up the opportunities to hear some live music. I am still lacking a good calendar to source Benton County blues music, so if you are a musician (or fan) in Benton county please take note that you can email Sandy with your gigs. Please email the next two week's events following the receipt of the weekly newsletter.
Always remember, this is YOUR newsletter! Please send feedback or suggestions our way. You can reach me by email at the address below. We appreciate our readers and want
to see your ideas included!

NEW DATE!
|
We have a new date for our IBC Fundraiser! The new date will be, Saturday, April 30, 2022 which is the weekend before the International Blues Challenge in Memphis. What a great weekend to come out and see the Jeff Horton Band share the music they will be taking to Memphis!
Due to the need we faced to make a last minute change, we are also moving our venue to the Meteor Guitar Gallery in Bentonville. The ticket sales link has been temporarily paused while we finalize the seating layout for the new venue, but we hope to have a new link up next week. Watch for more information as we finalize the details of this new event. Thank you to all the supporters of Ozark Blues Society and our challenger, The Jeff Horton Band.
We understand how disappointing changes like this can be and we appreciate your patience as we work though the process.
