Blues News You Can Use!
 Settling In

I'm ready to settle in to the summer routine...how about you?  As noted last week, there are a slew of ongoing
concert series to consider, and alongside that what many call "Festival Season" is notably getting under way. Festivals hitting our calendar this week include the Fort Smith Riverfront Blues Festival and the Ozark Mountain Soul Music Festival in Eureka Springs. Both festivals feature some of your favorite local artists. You can find out more on these festivals HERE: RIVERFRONTBLUESFEST.ORG and OZARK MOUNTAIN SOUL FEST 2023

Wanting more information for the ongoing live music series in the area? Visit these sites to find the many options: WALMART AMP  RAILYARD LIVE 2023, GULLY PARK CONCERT SERIES 2023, FAYETTEVILLE LIVE MUSIC CALENDAR
And don't forget to check out our calendar below for a focus on the next two weekends. We compile listings from local community calendars for our partner artists and venues throughout the area. Perhaps you are not seeing your favorite blues artist or venue listed? Remember, artists and fans alike may send us blues event listings that may not appear in the community calendars. Just email SANDY
to share listings that include
performances occurring from next weekend through the following weekend.

Surprisingly, no new news articles this week even with all the events and festivals happening around us. We are still wishing to hear from a reader or two who would be willing to put on a reporters hat and submit some material. Articles could be about upcoming events, or a reflection on experiences at a past event. For more information on how to get involved, just email Sandy at the address below.
We are continuing the weekly Blues History feature from Big Train and the Loco Motives. Read on below for how to find this great history based presentation.

It's always important to say, this is YOUR newsletter! Please send questions, information, feedback, and suggestions our way. Just click below to email Sandy.
We appreciate our readers and want
to see your ideas included!

"I do not claim any of the creation of the blues, although I have written many of them even before Mr. Handy had any blues published. I heard them when I was knee-high to a duck."
