Blues News You Can Use!
 Do You Feel It?
Honestly, I think every one of us feels "it" now and again. What "it" am
I speaking of? As I sat back down just now to work on this newsletter, after
a short break doing some kitchen tasks, I glanced at the clock and experienced the feeling that I am in countdown mode. Every week I aim for the goal of hitting send on this newsletter by 12 noon. Today will
be close, but at least for me, it always feels great to get something done early. Here's to hoping everyone knocks down their task lists
so they can enjoy a weekend full
of fun and live music!
This week's new article highlights a concert by Divas on Fire that will happen Saturday evening at the BRAND NEW venue in Rogers; The Music Depot. They kicked off last weekend with their grand opening and are filling their calendar with tons of great music. Read on below for more information about The Music Depot and the ticket link for the Divas on Fire show. Returning this week
is the article about this weekend's fundraiser being held to raise funds
to support Clare Starr's family.
Clare was a gifted artist who in the past shared his music as part
of our Blues in the Schools Program.
Also, though some of the ongoing music series in the area are starting to wrap up, we will once again include the article below with quick access to some of this great summer music to help you find the best options. We
will make updates as needed.
You will also find the continuing article for the weekly Blues History feature from Big Train and the Loco Motives. Read on below for more information and to access these great blues history presentations.
Perhaps you are not seeing your favorite blues artist or venue listed in our calendar? We compile listings from local community calendars for our partner artists and venues throughout the area. Remember, artists and fans alike may send us blues event listings that may not appear in the community calendars. Just email SANDY to share
listings that include performances occurring from next weekend through the following weekend.
It's always important to say, this is YOUR newsletter! Please send questions, information, feedback, and suggestions our way. Just click below to email Sandy.
We appreciate our readers and want
to see your ideas included!

Divas On Fire
in Rogers at the New  Venue The Music Depot
The Music Depot, in the heart of Downtown Rogers, celebrated their grand opening last weekend and are on track already to meet their first goal of providing a space for entertainment. This new facility has been designed to provide an immersive and intimate concert experience, ensuring an unforgettable time for every attendee.
Several exciting acts have already been booked for the summer and upcoming fall season such
as Dee Dee Jones, Dino D & The DTrain, and The Rodney Block Collective to name a few.
Check out the full lineup of artists slated to perform at The Music Depot at https:///musicdepotnwa.com.
The Saturday, July 15th from 7-10pm you can enjoy the venue's intimate concert experience while soaking up the heartfelt music of local favorite's Divas On Fire. Since making their debut at Bikes, Blues & BBQ two years ago, the group has performed at four festivals and
a number of music venues around
the country.  They are currently focusing on writing original material and honing the arrangements of their crowd pleasing favorites.  You’ve no doubt heard the saying “The whole is greater than the sum of its parts”. Well, The Divas on Fire live by that very adage. Their group is made stronger by the experience of their individual members. The Divas formed to create a way for musical synergy to take over and magnify each members individual strengths, building them into an emotionally powerful connection. Drawing on their individual experiences as songwriters and touring artists, they give audiences a moving experience they can see, hear and feel deep down.
The Music Depot is excited to share
their space, local, regional, and national artists, and the Downtown Rogers Community as they contribute to the overall Northwest Arkansas music ecosystem. Tickets for the Diva's On Fire concert are still available for purchase HERE:

THIS WEEKEND
A Worthy Fundraiser
Recently the NWA music community lost a sweet soul with the passing of Clare Starr. Clare helped OBS present one of our early Blues in the Schools events at McNair Middle School in Fayetteville. His creativity and passion will be missed.
Please consider attending the upcoming fundraiser at George's Majestic Lounge to offer support to Clare's family.
Please consider attending the event which will be held Sunday, July 16th from 5-9pm at George's Majestic Lounge in Fayetteville.
