Blues News You Can Use!
Blues Heaven
I can't help being excited as I share about some super amazing blues shows that are coming up and make sure everyone knows about them! The first one is of course the OBS Blues Challenge THIS SATURDAY at the Meteor Guitar Gallery! Advance tickets are available by using the link below. You can also find it on our website www.ozarkbluessociety.org
Tickets will also be available at the door. Come and root for your favorite regional band as the vie for the win and a trip to IBC in Memphis in January 2024! Then, more hot blues next week for the West Street Live Series at the WAC on October 19. Bassist and blues powerhouse, Danielle Nicole, will put on a show you don't want to miss. Bass players out there will be mesmerized watching her left handed bass playing. I saw her and her brothers take the IBC crowd by storm in 2008 when Trampled Under Foot took the top prize. They were amazing!
Then, as if that wasn't enough, Joe Bonamassa will be back at the WAC on November 1st, and in mid-November, long time NWA (and beyond) bluesman, Kory Montgomery will be at George's! I have also heard some chatter that former NWA harp player R.J Mischo will be in town in the near future. Local blues lovers, your listening heaven awaits!
Articles this week share the name of this week's WAC ticket giveaway of a set of tickets to the kickoff show of the amazing nationwide tour of Johnny Cash: The Official Concert Experience. Also big news this
week is it is finally time for the OBS 2023 Blues Challenge. Join us Saturday, Oct 14 at the Meteor Guitar Gallery in Bentonville. We offer reserved seats and general admission. Get your tickets now to assure you have a choice seat or come on up and grab your tickets at the door. Links to tickets can be found in the article below.
Once again you will find the weekly Blues History feature from Big Train and the Loco Motives. Read on below for more information and to access these great blues history presentations. So much news!
