Sister Lucille :: TELL THE WORLD
Following their Blues Blast Award-winning debut album, Sister Lucille returned with Tell The World. With ten tracks deeply rooted in the blues, the band’s patented “Memphunk” sound is stretched in a myriad of directions from funk to jam band to raw rock and roll.
The Album debuted at #12 on the Billboard Blues Charts and was voted "Best Self-Produced CD" by the Blues Foundation at the 2024 International Blues Challenge.

Produced by Memphis’ own Reba Russell and released by female-owned Blue Heart Records, the strength of women empowerment is exemplified throughout the project.

Lead vocalist Kimberly Dill has one of those instantly recognizable voices and she is comfortable delivering high energy or soft and sensitive lyrics. The title track bursts out of the speakers with guitarist Jamie Holdren sprinkling wah-wah and sharp jabs throughout. A brass section filling any spaces with aplomb and Kimberly’s superb vocal performance makes this track as good an opener as you’ll find. Why Not You is a super Hill Country trancey blues written by Reba Russell who joins Kimberly on lead vocals. They certainly push each other to spine tingling heights and this song should become an anthem for women worldwide.

As a band, Sister Lucille has that timeless quality the greats always exhibit, and they definitely showcase their talents on this sophomore release.

Just in Case: May 25 is "National Wine Day" Right, like we need an excuse! (actually I'm not a big wine drinker at all, but I have heard that retort before). Sticks Magee pulled no punches when he sang, "drinkin' wine spo-dee-o-dee, drinkin' wine, bop, bop, pass that bottle to me. Hoy, hoy, hoy."

May 30 is "National Creativity Day!"
