BLUES CHALLENGE ENTRY DEADLINE APPROACHING FAST!

BLUES CHALLENGE SIGN UP IS NOW OPEN FOR BANDS AND SOLO/DUO ACTS WITHIN 250 MILES OF NW ARKANSAS🎶
Our annual Blues Challenge will be held on AUGUST 9th, 2024 at the Meteor Guitar Gallery in downtown Bentonville. Sign up is open until July 14, 2024.
 
Why enter??
 
1) Regional exposure via social media before the event and then being seen and heard by hundreds during the LIVE event.
 
2) A thousand + $’s of paid room and travel charges to send our local winners to Memphis.
 
3) The actual bucket-list experience the winners receive by performing / competing on Beale Street in front of packed houses, meeting other musicians from around the nation and world, and to meet and learn from music business people in actual classes and convention-type settings.

🎶 All competitors are eligible to be chosen to win a block of free professional studio time. One act will be selected to have an original song professionally produced and recorded at the renowned Crisp Recording Studio in Fayetteville. 🎶

REMINDER: Blues Jams are now every 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month at The Music Depot.
Upcoming Blues Jams & Morning Music twice a month!
Ozark Blues Society has partnered with Good Day NWA to provide them with original blues artists twice a month to perform on the show.  Show dates should coincide with our Pro Blues Jams schedules at the Music Depot, sponsored by Music Moves, which are now scheduled for every 2nd & 4th Thursday of the month!
 
 Upcoming Dates:
 
 
7/11/24 -- Americana themed Open Blues Jam featuring Rachel Fields along with special guest hosts Dawn Cate and Patti Steel!  Several new musicians are making an appearance with the OBS Core Band for that evening.

MEMPHIS BLUES/R&B COMING TO NWA -- This is gonna be a good show, y'all, The Lightning Xpress Tour at the Meteor Guitar Gallery, on August 2nd. See the link in the list of venues below for more details.
 
 
Watch for details of a VERY special OBS event coming up on September 7th at the Meteor Guitar Gallery in Bentonville AR! Plans for a WOMEN IN BLUES event are nearly finalized. The artists are confirmed, and the headliner will blow you away! There are just a few details left to pin down, stay tuned.
 
Another item to keep in mind -- Membership dues will increase from $15 to $20 at the beginning of 2025. If you're considering joining, why not do it now? Your dues will increase at the end of your sign-up year, so you'll save a bit. Remember that we have many different levels of membership to choose from, but the basic membership dues will increase.
