Clog Dance Lessons at Alki UCC
Begin Sunday, October 6 ... Join us!
Sundays at 1:00 pm in Anderson Hall
Discover the joy of clog dancing, a lively percussive dance rooted in the Appalachian Mountains and influenced by Irish, Scottish, German and Native American traditions.

The term "clog" comes from the Gaelic word for "time," as dancers keep the downbeat of the music with their heel. While bluegrass is traditional music for clog dancing, today’s clogging embraces a wide variety of genres, from country to pop.

With more than 30 years teaching experience in the Pacific Northwest, I am excited to introduce you to the basics and beyond. By the end of the session, I guarantee, you will be hooked! No partner needed, you go at your own pace.

Dancers of all ages are welcome. Don’t miss this opportunity to immerse yourself in a vibrant art form—join us in Anderson Hall on October 6! You are sure to be hooked! (oh, yea, I said that already, didn’t I?) He! He!

No registration necessary. Just show up ... we welcome newbies October 6, 13 and 27. Classes offered at no charge; all freewill donations support Alki Church UCC.

Let's Organize ...
Let's Mobilize!
Join the Alki UCC Get Out the Vote Team
Your Outreach/Social Justice team is focusing on the upcoming November election and GOTV (get out the vote). We would love for you to join us!

First of all: are you registered to vote? If so, have you moved recently? You must update your address with the WA State to receive your ballot at your new address. Manage both registration and updates at the WA State voter portal linked here

Let’s join forces to turn out the vote in our church and throughout the wider community.

Do you know about the four state initiatives on the ballot?

We'll explore these issues and, most importantly, we'll take action by sending letters to disengaged registered voters in critical swing states.

Let's explore different GOTV programs and get writing!
