In Jah´s Name We PrayIs it good to meditate every day? There's no way around it: creating a regular habit can help unlock even more benefits of meditation. In fact, research shows that frequency is even more important than duration — meaning, that meditating for 10 minutes a day, seven days a week is more beneficial than 70 minutes one day a week.

One of Reggae music’s most unusual and fascinating artists, Perfect Giddimani was born as Greg Rose in Bamboo, St Ann, Jamaica. His mother sang in church and his grandfather had a banjo band, so Perfect was exposed to music from his birth. His father repaired jukeboxes, so Perfect had access to many genres of music including Soul, Country, Pop, and Reggae and he would sing the songs back with the instrumental side of the records. After High School, Perfect would DJ on Sound Systems and eventually he headed to Kingston where he began honing his skills performing in clubs and recording in studios.

Perfect Giddimani has released thirteen albums and hundreds of singles. His album “Live My Life Again”, released in 2017, hit the number one spot on the Billboard chart.

Perfect Giddimani stays true with his conscious, positive lyrics. In his words “We keep it 100% clean, conscious and with a message.”

ALBUM RELEASE - TALES OF REALITY - Kumar Fyah and The 18th Parallel
A Musical Journey Across Continents - KUMAR Meets The 18th Parallel - NEW ALBUM RELEASE - TALES OF REALITY
Grammy-nominated singer Kumar releases new album that is pure Fyah! Available on your favorite streaming platform, CD and limited-quantity vinyl

In a unique fusion of roots reggae and international collaboration, Kumar, the former lead singer of GRAMMY-nominated Raging Fyah, has joined forces with Switzerland's critically acclaimed band, The 18th Parallel, to release the highly anticipated album Tales of Reality.

Produced by Fruits Records and Easy Star Records, this album is set to transport listeners into a world where the Golden Age of Jamaican reggae is reborn with a contemporary and inspiring sound.
Tales of Reality is more than just an album—it's a testament to the power of music to bridge cultures, with the album taking shape over four years, from Kingston’s buzzing streets to the peaceful mountains of Geneva. Every track on the album is infused with Kumar’s soulful lyrics, effortlessly combined with the masterful arrangements of The 18th Parallel, a Swiss band that has worked with some of reggae’s greatest legends.

“This album is a celebration of the roots, the stories, and the timeless messages embedded in reggae music. It’s about truth—our truth—delivered with the energy and soul that reggae fans all over the world connect with,” says Kumar.

Jamaica ~ Culture ministry provides $1m support to Kabaka Pyramid for WOMEX
Culture ministry provides $1m JA support to Kabaka Pyramid for WOMEX

Minister of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sport Olivia Grange shared that Kabaka Pyramid and his Bebble Rock Team band are representing Jamaica at the World Music Expo or WOMEX, in Manchester, England.

The annual WOMEX, billed as the most internationally diverse music festival in the world, is the biggest conference of the global music scene, featuring a trade fair, talks, films and showcase concerts.

Grange said she was “pleased that Kabaka Pyramid [is] one of 50 acts from across the world that will be showcased at WOMEX this year”.

The minister explained that it was the “first time in the 30 year history of the Expo that a Jamaican band is being showcased”.

The Ministry of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sport provided support in the sum of one million dollars JA to enable Kabaka Pyramid and his band to attend and perform at WOMEX.

Grange said it was a strategic and deliberate investment in Jamaica’s music.

“WOMEX brings together top performers, booking agents, festival organisers, venue agents and managers from across the world who are all looking to do business. We must ensure that reggae, dancehall and our Jamaican performers are front of mind when the critical decisions about festivals and tours are being made,” said Grange.

Multitalented artiste and producer Kabaka Pyramid won the 2023 Grammy in the Best Reggae Album category with the album titled The Kalling.
