A handy
new Guide is now available for Students & Parents interested in
enrolling at the Virtual Learning Academy Charter School. Use our online
web inquiry form to request a hard copy of the Guide or download a PDF
copy from our Student & Parent Center web page. The Student &
Parent Center web page also makes available a list of resources and
information of interest to students including an online learning self
assessment, a registration checklist, hardware & software
requirements, student code of conduct, academic integrity policy, right to
privacy policy, and student & parent FAQs. Parents will also find tips
on how to access to student information, learning at VLACS, and

Students May Now Register
Online
New
Hampshire's first statewide on-line virtual high school, the Virtual
Learning Academy Charter School is now accepting part-time enrollments for
the January 2008 semester. The enrollment
period opened Monday
October 1st and will end Friday, November 2nd. The Academy's goal
is to use the latest internet technologies to provide our state's high
school students with any time, any where access to a rigorous,
personalized education that helps them learn today, graduate tomorrow and
prepare for the future. A few highlights about the Academy:
- Is
tuition-free for all students residing in NH
- An approved New Hampshire public school
- Uses New Hampshire state certified teachers
- Offers high quality college prep and honors courses, AP courses
and much more.
High school students in New Hampshire will
have the first option to enroll tuition-free for VLACS courses. If
openings remain, VLACS will open the slots to out of state students for a
fee.

Course Catalog is Live
The course catalog for
the January 2008 semester is now live on the Virtual Learning Academcy
Charter School website. The catalog opens with twenty-six course offerings
for high school Students, including: Computer Programming-Basic I, Spanish
I and II, English I, II, III, and IV, Algebra 1a, 1b and Algebra I, AP
Calculus AB, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Personal Fitness, AP Biology,
Biology, Earth Science, Marine Science, Physics, American Government,
American History, AP Microeconomics, AP Macroeconomics, Economics, World
History, and SAT Prep. Honors level courses are also offered for most of
the above courses. For a detailed list of the courses offered, please
click the link below. Courses are free to any high school student in New
Hampshire. The registration period is
open from October 1 - November 2, 2007.

Register in 6 Easy Steps
NH High
School students interested in taking tuition free courses at the Virtual
Learning Academy Charter School for the January 2008 semester may now
register online for classes. VLACS is admitting part-time students in
January 2008. Therefore, students are limited to enrolling in four VLACS
courses. Beginning in September 2008 we will admit full-time students.
Students may choose from 26 course offerings to supplement or complement
their existing curriculum.
