Sulfate. This chemical compound has been linked to liver and
kidney damage and even eye damage potentially causing cataracts. This
foaming agent is common in shampoo, body wash and toothpaste. It’s
banned in Europe and Central America.
Parabens.
These preservatives are found in many cosmetics, lotions, and
other cleansers; they are associated with a number of ailments ranging
from clogged pores and skin irritation all the way to breast cancer.
Phthatale. The
carcinogens in this chemical have been connected to reproductive organ
damage and birth defects. Though banned in Europe, it continues to be
present in North American lotions and nail polish. |
