Based in the Washington, D.C. area, we have been afforded the luxury of experience on a myriad of commercial, historical and ecclesiastical sites and challenges. This has exposed us to a broad range of philosophies and techniques through architects, curators, and nationally recognized historic conservators for metal, marble, and wood restoration . Time in this environment has enhanced our service to the architectural community.

Green Services

	Hastings uses CRI Green Label equipment which improves indoor air quality during on-site restorations.
	The Hastings management has completed  GS-42 training and achieved certification.
	Hastings uses indoor coatings that meet the California EPA VOC standards which minimizes air pollution in a building's ecosystem.
	Hastings restoration team works with GS-37 approved products and microfiber technology in all of our restoration and maintenance services.

Working with Metal

The aesthetics of many building entrances, elevators and lobbies are enhanced with architectural metals such as bronze, brass, stainless steel and aluminum. These metals require periodic maintenance to sustain their brilliance and to prevent oxidation and corrosion.

Most architectural metal surfaces have "protective coatings" which have a short life span and periodically must be removed so that the metal can be cleaned and brightened. Coating materials should be chosen with regard to their purpose. Exterior coatings should be formulated to withstand harmful ultraviolet rays. High wear areas such as door handles and kick plates require abrasion resistant coatings.
