About Blue Barnhouse

Believe it or not, our letterpress studio was born out of a love for literature. Started by Brandon Mise (MFA, Creative Writing, San Francisco State University,) Blue Barnhouse, now its fifth year, has become a large family of writers, designers, and letterpress printers who have a knack for punchlines, innovative design, and quality letterpress products.

Though we originally hail from San Francisco, Blue Barnhouse is now located in Asheville, North Carolina, a small town nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains, well-known for its hip culture and large community of artisans.

If you ever find yourself on vacation in our beautiful mountain town please stop by our storefront/letterpress studio, where fresh card designs are hand-cranked daily.
