Happy New Year and Happy Birthday!! 2008 is the 100th Anniversary of the founding of the National Association of Realtors. Let's all look forward to a great year and an exciting market for Real Estate in our area. The 400 North Board of Realtors is busy planning and setting up classes and programs for Realtor Members for 2008. We are excited about the opportunities to participate in the many community activities and charitable programs.

The 2008 Advertising Campaign of the National Association of Realtors will kick off in February. This Campaign will remind our Clients and Customers that as Realtors we are held to a higher standard than our non Realtor competitors. Ethics and Training are a big part of having the honor to call yourself a Realtor - so use this time to get those designations, further your education in your chosen field and use 2008 to become a BETTER REALTOR!!! 2008 IS GOING TO BE GREAT!!

The 2008 Leadership class is now forming. You must be nominated by a Broker or Director of the 400 North Board of REALTORS. Nominations are due by January 28, 2008. You will be expected to attend 6 classes, you will be encouraged to attend the State convention. If interested please contact Mary at the Board office for an application.

Reminder: The National Association of REALTORS requires that all members take Code of Ethics every 4 years or within the quadrennial period. The current quadrennial period is 2005-2008. If you took Code of Ethics prior to 2005, you will need to take it again before the end of 2008. You may take it online at NAR's website: www.realtor.org or attend one of our Orientation classes at the board office.

GAR reached it's goal of 1,000 specialty tag reservations by the December 31, 2007 deadline. If you have previously ordered your tag, the tags should be available for pick-up within weeks.

Visit your local tag office and request the Georgia Association of REALTORS®' specialty tag and pay the additional specialty tag fee(s). Your tag will then be ordered and shipped to you - it's that easy!
