Almost married

Another advantage to living on this side of the serving table is that one gets a unique perspective on events.  We are the ones who get to stand in the back, watching, listening, anticipating.  EVERYONE gets the front view, but really, isn't this a lovely picture?  I love watchng the family doing the final tucking in, brushing back, arranging.  This is when it is all real.  Once the music starts and all heads turn around, the show starts.  That's all well and good, but really, I love being in the back.

Waiting for the guests

We had a perfect afternoon for this wedding.  The bride had it timed perfectly, sun streaming in just at the right time.  Our crew had everything all set for the reception.  Mojitos flowed and crab cakes took flight right off the trays.  One of our staffers, a mom herself, even had some all-natural, herbal bug mosquito spritz which she gladly pased around to us and the bridal party.  We all smelled like eucalyptus and rosemary and that was just fine.

Beautiful local cheeses

Once the groom had stomped the glass and the guests had erupted with applause the Glen at Homewood filled with revelers.  These local cheeses were particularly pleasing.  Our local cows and goats worked hard, eating nice grass and hay and drinking pure water.  I'm glad they all made their way to each other - and that we got to be the conduit.
