Well, this is a bit of a departure from my normal e-mail newsletters.
I am writing from the hospital. I checked in last Wednesday and had surgery tp remove a cancerous tumor in my colon. It was found during a routine colonoscopy. Now it is gone.
And now the healing begins.
Right now I am very, very sore having had three incisions. I have gotten up to walk around the hallways - a major accomplishment for me.
I am not sure when I will get to leave. My digestive system must work before i can leave and it is not there quite yet.
I am doing a good lot of sleeping, a small amount of reading, an even smaller amount of visiting. My sisters were both here last week. One, fortunately, lives here so she's been camping out with me a lot. Even though I am mostly sleeping,it is nice to wake up and have her here.
Anyway - this whole thing has been a huge, scary thing. I still don't have the followup report so I'm not sure what is going to happen next. I praying that this surgery will be all that I need.
If you wonder what to do, just go by the shop and make sure they're all okay. I left quickly and I am not able to take care of those folks right now - so maybe you can.
