Branding
About this Feature
The Branding tool allows you to customize tools that your subscribers use, such as the sign-up form and your surveys. This allows you to maintain your branding while still using the sleek stylings of MNB.
How to Use This Feature
To get to branding, hover over “Tools” in the main menu and select “Branding”. To customize, you can move through each section to create the look that best represents your brand.
[+] Add Graphics
You can upload your logo or a header into the branded forms under the “Header” section. Use the Browse button to locate your image file. Click on “Upload”. The image should appear in the preview section on the right side of the screen.
If you want to remove the existing image, just click “Remove”. When you’re done, continue customizing or click save at the bottom of the page.
[+] Change Theme
The easiest way to change colors is to use one of our pre-selected themes. To select a theme, hover over any of the color boxes below the preview area, under “Themes”. Three smaller boxes will appear in the large box to show you some of the accent colors used in the theme. We recommend exploring all the themes to see how they look. To select, click on the square you like. The preview will automatically update with the new colors. You can further customize the theme using the color customization instructions below.
[+] Customize Your Color Scheme
Granted, a theme may not suit your branding. In that case, you can customize the colors of the form.
Under “Body,”you will see the different parts of the form listed. Next to each section is a six digit color code and a color square. To replace the six digit color code with your own, click in the field and input the number. Otherwise, you can click on the color box and select your color using the color sliding tool.
Once you’ve customized all your colors, click save.
Best Uses
Branding is essential anywhere on the internet. Conventional marketing wisdom tells us that a person will recognize your brand after 7 impressions. Your subscriber forms should at least contain the basics of your brand: logo and color scheme. Using different colors not associated with your brand may confuse and deter potential subscribers.
Auto-Responders
About This Feature
The Auto-Responder utility allows users to create a custom newsletter that will be automatically issued as a response to any reply to an email newsletter issued from the user’s account. Once the user has created and activated an Auto-Responder it will be sent in reply to any response received from any email newsletter they have sent, and is active for all subscriber categories.
How to Use This Feature
From your MyNewsletterBuilder dashboard, mouse over the Tools tab in the top menu. In the drop down menu, select Auto-Responders. You will be taken to the Auto-Responders management page where you’ll find a list of all the Auto-Responders you have saved, with indicators as to which are Active and Inactive, as well as the option to preview or delete each.
[+] Create New
In the left side menu, click on the Create New link under the Actions heading. From there, you’ll be taken to the Auto-Responders Editor page. Here, you’ll be prompted to complete the following 5 steps:
Title. The title will not be seen by your subscribers. Simply use this title to help organize your saved Auto-Responders.
Subject. This is the subject line that will appear in your subscribers’ inboxes. When crafting an Auto-Responder subject line, try to keep it short, clear and to-the-point. Avoid excessive capital letters and repeated punctuation for best results.
Content. In the content section, you’ll find two options to create the copy and design of your Auto-Responder email. First, you’ll see the HTML content field. There you will be able to add or create formatted content, which includes customized fonts, colors and hyperlinked text. Below the HTML field, you’ll find a plain text field, allowing you to create plain, unformatted text that will appear as simple black against a white background.
Redirect URL. If you have an existing webpage with a preferred “Thank You” message already, you can add a link to that page in the Redirect URL field. Here, the included link will automatically send subscribers to your selected “Thank You” page.
Auto-Responder Status. Set the Auto-Responder to Active or Inactive. Active Auto-Responders will continue to be sent to the source of any incoming replies, while Inactive Auto-Responders will not be sent. They will not be deleted from your account.
[+] Display
In the left side menu, select either the Active or Inactive options to see a complete list of all Active or Inactive Auto-Responders, respectively.
Active. Selecting this option will produce a list of any active Auto-Responders you have created in your account. They can be edited or deactivated at any time by simply clicking on the title in question.
Inactive. The Inactive option will generate a list of all inactive, saved Auto-Responders in your account. They can edited or reactivated at any time by simply clicking on the title in question.
[+] Preview
In the main table on the center of the page, you’ll see a list of all Auto-Responders you have created and saved in your MyNewsletterBuilder account. On the far right, you’ll see two icons in each row. For a live preview of a particular Auto-Responder, click on the small magnifying glass icon. You’ll be prompted with a pop-up window requesting the email address at which you would like to receive the preview. When you select the OK button, a preview copy will be sent the selected email address immediately.
[+] Delete

On the far right, you’ll see two icons in each row. To permanently remove a saved Auto-Responder from your account, click the white page with a red circle icon on the far right. You will be asked if you are sure you want to delete the selected Auto-Responder. Click OK, and the Auto-Responder will be removed from your account.
Best Uses
The Auto-Responder tool is an excellent way to let your subscribers know that you have received their reply, and will be addressing it shortly. If you have a high-volume of newsletter replies, the Auto-Responder tool will allow you to connect with your subscribers in a timely fashion so they know that you are available and interested in their communication.
When creating your Auto-Responder, try to draft a message that is brief, but cordial, and lets the subscriber know that you’ll be getting back to them as soon as possible. Always thank the subscriber for their interest in your business.
Finally, don’t miss this opportunity to create more website traffic. Include a link to your website below your response, or even consider creating a special “Thank You” offer for any subscriber that issues a reply to your email newsletters. They will appreciate the benefits, and recognize your interest in their needs as a customer.
